About the Role:
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced Portfolio Strategy Consultant for a 6-month contract to support enterprise-wide strategic planning and portfolio development. This role plays a key part in driving alignment between business objectives and investment decisions, while providing high-level strategic insights and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
The consultant will work across business units and program teams to evaluate initiatives, prioritise investments, and support informed decision-making across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement portfolio strategy frameworks aligned to organisational goals
- Analyse investment proposals to assess strategic alignment, delivery readiness, and business value
- Collaborate with business leaders to define portfolio priorities and develop roadmaps
- Provide insights on benefits realisation, performance metrics, and capability uplift
- Evaluate and optimise resource allocation across projects and programs
- Present strategic advice and recommendations to executive stakeholders
- Support enterprise planning processes and contribute to strategic governance forums
Key Requirements:
- 4-5 years of experience in a similar role within portfolio strategy, enterprise planning, or strategic consulting
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities
- Familiarity with portfolio management frameworks (e.g., P3M, MSP, or equivalent)
- Experience working in large, complex environments or government settings is highly desirable
