About the Role
A government department is seeking a highly skilled IT Network Professional to join their dynamic and diverse team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting the department's enterprise-grade wired and wireless networks, firewalls, and other network infrastructure. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of networking technologies, including switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, ARP, Spanning Tree), switch stacking, DNS, and DHCP.
- Proven understanding of networking technologies, including switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, VLANs, ARP, Spanning Tree), switch stacking, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and supporting enterprise-grade networks, with a strong emphasis on utilizing ITIL frameworks for effective service management.
- Ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently in a self-directed, multi-skilled IT role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills.
- A proactive approach to keeping informed about industry trends and developments.
