Mandatory Requirements:
- Canberra based (or willing to travel regularly to Canberra)
- Clearance NV1 or higher
- SFIA Level 4 or Level 5
General Requirements:
Candidates must meet several of the following criteria:
- Experience with Defence Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Tailored Architecture Framework (TAF)
- Proficiency in Model Based Systems Engineering tools (e.g., Catia Magic by Dassault)
- Deep knowledge of TOGAF ADM, NAFv4, or UAF (one or more)
- Experience with Disconnected and DDIL (Denied, Degraded, Intermittent & Limited) connectivity requirements
- Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture and Data Centric Security requirements
- Understanding of NATO Federated Mission Networking and NATO C3 Taxonomy
- Knowledge of Security Frameworks, including ISM, E8, PSPF, DSPF
- Experience in Scaled Agile delivery methodologies
- Ability to incorporate hardware and software requirements into architecture/engineering outputs
As a System Engineer, you will develop strategies, plans, methodologies, and processes for creating a capability system that supports risk-based decision making throughout its lifecycle. You will specialize in one or more of the following areas:
- Engineering Management & Control: Plans, baseline definition, quality management, change management
- Requirements Engineering: From Functional Performance Specification (FPS) to design definition
- System Integration: Interface management, developing Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and system boundary definition
- Military Platform Integration: Engaging with Single Point of Contact (SPOs) to design concepts and solutions
- Safety Engineering: Developing hazard logs and safety case reports
- Reliability, Availability & Maintainability: Conducting failure and downtime analysis and mitigation strategies
- Verification & Validation: Developing and executing plans to verify and validate objectives
- Test & Evaluation: Overseeing testing across Preview, Development, Acceptance, Operational, and In-Service phases
