Role Overview
We are seeking experienced DevOps/SysOps Engineers to join our team and contribute to the delivery of key projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Automation Development: Define, develop, and document existing automation technologies to improve system build, test, and deployment capabilities.
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Assist application development teams with the development and maintenance of DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
- System Administration: Perform platform, middleware, and software installation and configuration, network configuration, logging and observability setup, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, issue resolution, application deployment monitoring, and alerting.
- Process Improvement: Identify and support the implementation of further automation opportunities within the product development process to streamline service delivery.
- Version Control Maintenance: Maintain visibility of version control between production systems and planned deployments.
- Environment Monitoring: Maintain visibility of changes across multiple environments and communicate issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively and explain complex issues and concepts to stakeholders and IT management/senior business stakeholders with varying levels of technical proficiency.
- Automated Deployment Pipelines: Extensive experience in developing automated deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps and scripting tools like PowerShell.
Weighting: 25% - Application Administration: Experience in administering applications in Java, Microsoft.net, Oracle-Deployed applications (WebLogic, Oracle Service Bus, Oracle Database, Access Manager, etc.).
Weighting: 25% - System Administration Functions: Experience in performing system administration functions for enterprise applications, platforms, or COTS products, including configuration, installation, performance tuning of Oracle platforms, and server administration tasks such as monitoring and troubleshooting.
Weighting: 25% - Microsoft Azure Services: Knowledge and experience in configuring, monitoring, and optimising services for the Microsoft Azure platform.
Weighting: 25%
- Certifications: Relevant certifications for Azure platforms, Oracle systems, and server administration.
- Monitoring and Container Management: Experience with, or knowledge of, system monitoring, container management, and orchestration tools.
