Job Title: Capability Lead - Data Management and Privacy

We are seeking a skilled Capability Lead to join our team and provide expert guidance on data management and privacy for the project. This is an exciting opportunity to drive critical data initiatives and ensure the successful integration of new systems.

Role Overview:

As the Capability Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the project by providing expert guidance on data management and privacy. You will support data modeling, lead data validation and cleansing efforts, and oversee the seamless transfer of data from legacy systems to the new system. Additionally, you will assess risks, address data integration challenges, and ensure that the new system architecture safeguards sensitive information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Management & Privacy: Provide expert advice on data management strategies and privacy considerations to ensure the integrity and security of data within the project.

  • Data Modelling: Support and lead data modeling activities to ensure accurate representation and effective use of data in the new system.

  • Data Validation & Cleansing: Lead efforts in data validation and cleansing to ensure data quality and consistency during the transition from legacy systems.

  • Data Transfer: Oversee the seamless transfer of data from legacy systems to the system, ensuring minimal disruption and data accuracy.

  • Risk Assessment: Assess potential risks related to data management and integration, providing recommendations and solutions to mitigate these risks.

  • Data Integration: Advise on and address challenges related to data integration, ensuring smooth and effective system integration.

  • System Architecture: Ensure that the new system architecture is designed to protect sensitive information and comply with relevant data privacy regulations.

  • PMO Leadership: Lead and manage the Project Management Office to ensure the successful delivery of project responsibilities.

  • Reporting: Utilize DDG reporting tools to produce comprehensive weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports.

  • Risk & Issues Management: Facilitate risk and issues workshops and project meetings to proactively address project challenges.

  • Team Management: Manage the Project Management Office Function Team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

  • Compliance: Ensure project delivery aligns with Commonwealth and Defence policies and agreed cabinet decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in data management, privacy, and project management, with a track record of successful project delivery.

  • Skills: Strong expertise in data modeling, validation, and integration. Proficiency in using reporting tools and managing complex projects.

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data privacy regulations and risk management practices.

  • Education: Relevant qualifications in Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field are highly desirable.
